The Song of the Manatees

Photographs taken at Crystal River Three Sisters Spring, Florida, USA, then edited, collaged and layered together creating a new photographic image using Photoshop. I use anywhere from 10 to 40 photographs per montage. 

These large, gentle creatures are one minute so close to me, and the next, far away fading into the blue waters. 

This is a process I have been using for years that I've developed to create the Digital Montages that I do. It's digital cutting, pasting, erasing away; sometimes duplicating and enlarging, or reducing and fading away. It's a timely process, and I adjust the image as I deem fit for my creative vision. None of it is done with AI, or automatic photo stitching.
